What Does Xfinity ACP Cover?

It’s simple to enroll in the Affordable Connectivity Program Xfinity for both new and existing customers. All customers must follow the three basic steps:

What Documents Are Required When I Apply for the Xfinity ACP Program?

As only ACP-eligible customers can apply for the Xfinity ACP, each applicant must prove his or her eligibility. Therefore, you will be required to attach certain documents that prove your ACP eligibility when filling out the application form (both through the National Verifier and at the Xfinity ACP application site). The documents that you will be required to provide depend on your eligibility criteria.

  • In order to verify your identity or address, you will be required to provide an official document that includes your full legal name, date of birth, and address. For example, a passport, government-issued ID, U.S. driver’s license, birth certificate, certificate of U.S. citizenship or naturalization, etc.
  • To prove your annual household income, you may need to provide an official document showing your full name and income.   • To prove your participation in a qualifying government assistance program, you may be asked to provide an official document showing your full name, the name of the program, the name of the establishment that issued the document, and an issue date within the last 12 months. For example, an approval letter, benefit award letter, statement of benefits, or a benefit verification letter.

As only people who are 18 years old or more and emancipated minors can participate in any ACP program, emancipated minors will also be required to prove their emancipated minor status. They can do so with a court document or a certificate of emancipation.

All the documents can be attached and sent online. Simply upload the copies of the documents made by using a camera or a scanner. Make sure the copies are clear and valid.

Are There Any Xfinity Internet or Mobile Services That Are Not Eligible for the ACP?

ACP-eligible customers who receive the ACP credit can only apply it towards certain services. The credit can’t be used for the following services:

  • Unlimited Internet data plans
  • Internet data overage charges
  • Xfinity Mobile device payments
  • Xfinity Mobile Protection Plan
  • Taxes and fees
  • Any non-Internet or non-mobile Xfinity products or equipment, including Xfinity TV, Xfinity Voice, and Xfinity Home

In addition, certain types of customers cannot apply or use the ACP benefit at all, including:

  • Subscribers that do not have an individual Xfinity account with upgraded Internet services, but receive Internet service provided to them by their residential building through Xfinity Communities or Xfinity On Campus instead
