Q Link Wireless Compatible Phones

In case you decide to bring your own phone, you must make sure it is compatible with Q Link services and network. The phone must be unlocked and GSM/CDMA/LTE supported.

You can check whether your device is compatible with Q Link Wireless at qlinkwireless.com/byop.aspx. To do so, simply enter your device ID (ESN, IMEI, or MEID) and press ‘Continue’.

To find your devices ID, follow the instructions below:

  • Find your iPhone’s ID by dialing *#06#. Your device ID (IMEI/MEID/ESN) will appear on the screen. If that doesn’t work, go to ‘Settings’, press ‘General’, then ‘About’, and scroll down to find your device ID. In the unlikely event that this also doesn’t work, try inserting a paper clip or SIM-eject tool into the hole beside the SIM card tray, eject the tray, and view the IMEI number on the tray.
  • Find your Android’s ID by going to ‘Settings’ on your phone, pressing ‘About Phone’, and ‘Status’. Then, scroll down and find your device ID. The second option is to dial *#06# and the IMEI/MEID/ESN will appear on the screen. The third option is to remove the back cover and the battery and view the ID number.
  • Find your Window’s device’s ID by going to the ‘Start’ screen, tapping the right arrow, pressing ‘Settings’, then ‘About’, and finally ‘More Info’. There you will be able to see your device ID. If this doesn’t work, remove the battery from your phone and locate the device ID inside of it.
  • If you have another type of device, you can try removing the battery from the phone and locating the ID inside or checking your phone’s packaging on the outside and the inside.

Q Link’s BYOP eligibility rules include:

  • All the obligations regarding the contract or the finances must be met with your current provider for the phone to be eligible.
  • The phone cannot be flagged as lost or stolen. To unflag it, call your current provider.
  • Leased mobile devices are ineligible.

What Other Carriers Are Compatible With Q Link Wireless?

Q Link is an MVNO that uses other carrier’s networks. Previously, they used to rely on Sprint’s towers and network and used CDMA devices. However, since the Sprint-T-Mobile merger in 2020, they now run on T-Mobile’s new network and use both CDMA and GSM devices. As such, you should be able to use both unlocked GSM and unlocked CDMA devices with Q Link’s services.

If you wish to take your Q Link phone to another carrier, you must first make sure it is unlocked and determine whether you have a GSM and CDMA device. If you have a GSM device, you should be able to use it on T-Mobile and AT&T, and most of their MVNOs. On the other hand, if you have a CDMA phone, you could probably take it to Verizon, US Cellular, and other CDMA-enabled MVNOs.

What Are the Q Link Wireless Compatible Phone Replacement Terms?

All Q Link devices are covered by two warranties – the 14-day Q Link return guarantee and the manufacturer warranty.

1. 14-day Q Link return guarantee

Q Link Wireless will replace any mobile device that malfunctions with a new smartphone within 14 days of delivery. Note that cosmetic defects and scratches do not qualify under the return policy.

To return your malfunctioning device, make sure to call Q Link’s customer care at 1 855-754-6543 and request a return authorization number (RMA). Then, write the received RMA number on the prepaid shipping label (which is available at Q Link’s website). Tape the label to the original box. Place the phone inside the box, seal the package with tape and drop it off at a post office to ship it back to Q Link at no cost.

2. Manufacturer warranty

All Q Link phones come with a 1-year manufacturer’s warranty. If your phone starts malfunctioning or breaks down on its own (without you having misused or damaged it in any way) within 1 year of delivery, you can contact the manufacturer and ask them for a replacement phone.

In case your phone gets lost, stolen, damaged, or breaks down after the warranties expired, it’s best to purchase a Q Link replacement phone. The company offers replacement phones at very low prices (starting at $25).
